Managerial Approach

The hallmark of effective management teams is the ability to integrate all facets of a project into a smoothly integrated set of processes that result in exactly the product or service the customer is seeking. One of Source One's unique characteristics is our Integrated Management System (see figure below), an integrated project management environment that links four critical elements: Human Resources Management, Technical Scope Management, Quality Assurance & Customer Satisfaction, and Administrative/Financial Management.

Human Resources

Source One believes that a satisfied workforce is a productive workforce. Our goal on each project is to have low turnover and continuity of knowledge in all skill areas. We consistently accomplish this by ensuring that each individual understands their job requirements and performance expectations. Source One also maintains a highly competitive benefits package that is designed to keep employee morale high and turnover low.

Technical Scope Management

Source One has an excellent track record of addressing the complex contract requirements and challenging scopes of work that are routine in our industry.  Our project management model requires identification of deliverables at the beginning of each project, establishment of quantifiable real-time metrics to track work performance, and regular, candid reporting of performance and issues.

Quality Assurance and Customer Satisfaction

High standards of quality and customer service are cornerstones of Source One’s management culture.  To achieve them, we use elements of the Baldrige National Quality Criteria Program and have trained many of our management and line staff on Six Sigma quality methods as central elements of our Integrated Management System. Source One defines a standard process for each activity, and routinely tracks and reports performance metrics for critical contract deliverables, and for continually improving process function and output.

Source One also measures its own performance through Customer Satisfaction Surveys, Contractor Report Cards and scheduled customer meetings. Contract performance data is gathered and analyzed, and timely adjustments made to maximize performance and customer satisfaction. Source One's employees are expected to follow their client’s standards of conduct and business practices. Work is performed with strict adherence to established policies, procedures and program directives. Any procedural or safety deficiencies discovered while performing the work are promptly reported and immediately remedied.

Administrative/Financial Management

We have successfully managed contracts with employees in over 200 distinct job classifications, and in as many as 80 locations. To meet these challenges, Source One has invested considerably to acquire the technical management tools and staff necessary to manage large, diverse projects. Our in-house enterprise resource management system includes Oracle Financials, integrated with Oracle Projects, enabling the collection and analysis of critical contract data related to fiscal resources, labor expended, and progress made toward task completion. It is also readily configured to share data with clients' systems, facilitating review and objective evaluation by our customers.

For more than two decades, Source One has maintained a successful record of success as a result of one fundamental characteristic: We do everything in our ability to exceed our customers' expectations of performance, efficiency, and quality.  In short, we aim for and attain excellence from each individual and from the entire organization.
