Our Financial Documents Coordinators managed the repository for all Accounts Payable (AP) records for five Western offices (Billings, Bismarck, Ft. Peck, Watertown, Huron) in the Billings area. They were responsible for the yearly addition of over 18,000 new AP documents and the ongoing maintenance of over 90,000 records. They utilized the state-of-the-art Financial Management System's Accounts Payable module to enter and process all claims information, coordinate daily compilation, and forward end-of-day packages for payment by the U.S. Treasury. Source One employed over 200 people to provide a variety of services for MMS. Our staff processed royalty payments on 30,000 leases for extraction of oil, gas, geothermal power, and other resources from federal and American Indian lands. Source One ensured that $4 to $6 billion per year in royalties was  properly paid and distributed to the United States Treasury, state governments, and American Indian tribes.
