Source One employed over 200 people to provide a
variety of services for MMS. Our staff processed
royalty payments on 30,000 leases for extraction of
oil, gas, geothermal power, and other resources from
federal and American Indian lands. Source One
ensured that $4 to $6 billion per year in royalties
was properly paid and distributed to the United
States Treasury, state governments, and American
Indian tribes. At MMS, Source One employees provided
extensive document management services for the
Lessee Contact Branch, the Production Accounting
Division, and the Royalty Valuation and Standards
